There are always those materials that you love, but somehow can’t quite make them work for you. For me, that’s soft pastels. I’ve been lucky enough to be gifted with some stunning Unison Pastels, in beautiful colours, but I tend to love the pigments, but not love the experience of using them. The result: ‘meh’ sketches.
