Hello all!
I was MEGA tired today, I fear I may have rambled on a bit about it, and had a bit of a brain block a few times! Did I talk about cake AGAIN? Am I forgetting that I talk about cake in almost every Co-Swatch session?! My brain needs help!
Today was a nice chilled one! Here are the highlights:
- bought A LOT of inks - I think it would be fair to call it a ‘haul’! VERY EXCITING! So there was a lot to swatch! We also chatted about the Lynx, which was apparently native to Germany! The lynx will be Bianka’s animal to focus on for her first Project with us.
- Swatched acrylics on paper she was testing, and had a gorgeous spread of muted colours.
- chatted about the squirrels and chipmunks that inhabit her area, and how they will be her animals of choice for our Project in the paid community this month.
I swatched some water soluble Prismacolor pencils that I was gifted 2 years ago, and hadn’t given much time to. I was pleasantly surprised at how much texture I could achieve with them, and how nice they were to layer. A perfect balm to my frazzled brain!
I also floated the idea of an in-person meeting in the Spring, in Munich!
If anyone is accessible to Munich, and would be interested in an Art day, visiting this gorgeous Art Store , followed by Co-Swatching in person with lots of ‘kaffee und kuchen’ (That’s Coffee and Cake) drop me a message in the comments! (Other beverages and treats are available.)
