What could be better than co-swatching w other art supply nerds? Not much, really. Some engaging bits of conversation about our relationship to colors such as our new faves, outmoded ideas we're evolving from, exercises from long ago we want to return to, to concepts or material or ways of organizing that widely opened doors in our work. Warning to self: I usually make a quick mess in my studio after co-swatching because I'm suddenly inspired to re-arrange my supplies. <3
It was so nice Lenore! I also finish up feeling SO inspired by all the chat, and I almost ALWAYS carry on into my sketchbook with what I have learned. Thanks so much for becoming a regular!
I signed up for today and sorry I had to miss it! I woke up at 6:00am ready to go but my little 15 year old dog was not feeling good again. So, we just arrived home from the veterinarian and I am going to watch the replay 🙂
Oh I'm so sorry to hear your dog is unwell! How did it go at the Vet? Also what time zone are you in? I'm thinking of doing a second session at a different time, to accomodate people who can't make this slot.
Hi! We have a small dachshund. They are prone to Cushings Disease..pretty much the same as human Cushings. So, with old age he has developed digestive issues. I live in New York (Eastern time zone). I enjoyed the replay! Lots of great information and I liked the recommendation for Katie Moody’s YouTube channel. I spent the rest of the day watching her videos and learned a lot!
Oh yay I'm so glad to see this up, because I'm going to link it in tomorrow's post! Thank you so much for hosting. It was wonderful to learn and chat with you all. Enjoy those Derwent Drawing Pencils! ✏️💞

ugh, damn the time difference! but I just watched the REPLAY, love some of those colours, particularly the gouache :)
I’ll put a poll out for another time zone - hopefully that will help the next one!
Sorry I missed this! I was too sleepy for conversation this morning 😵💫
That's fair enough! It's a crazy early start for you!

So glad you enjoyed the replay! I'll try to make the next one for another time slot. :-)
