This looks really amazing Raj! I'm really tempted to join but not sure I'll find the time. Or maybe this is the sign I need to make time to finally work towards my portfolio.

Are you juggling a lot of different things right now? It is important not to overwhelm yourself.

You could join and respond to the projects in a 'light' way. You could use the briefs to create a series of images, at the 'Sketchbook' level, vs the more full on Commercial level.

Either way, you'll get access to the entire brief, you just choose how to respond according to where you are in your own work.

Don't feel pressured to join - it's important that you give yourself breathing space too. Juggling life, work, and family - it's a LOT! I'm actively making space for this, but cutting out other stuff. But please don't feel FOMO. You can always join later in the year if you feel like you have space for it. There's nothing worse than overwhelm!

I’ve read/listened to everything you’ve shared about Project 5. I love it - you’ve explained it so well and I really appreciate how you’ve shown the different ways these projects can be approach to suit my life and my creative needs/wants. 2 months per project feels very gentle and I’m so pleased with this. Thank you Raj. I’m signing up - feeling really excited right now.

Hi Raj! Project 5 sounds really interesting, and I’m excited to get started! ✨ I’m a beginner looking to build a more consistent sketchbook habit, but I’m also curious to learn more about the commercial possibilities. Do you think this project is beginner-friendly as well? Thanks! 🥰

Hi Raffaella! YES it is beginner friendly - I'm planning to write the briefs in such a way that you can respond to them 'lightly' as Sketchbook exploration, OR push them to a more commercial result.

If you're still figuring out your style, then don't be discouraged - most of us are always evolving our styles too, so I do a starting exersice where we all review our current work before we kick off on the projects, giving you a springboard of style references to work from.

You might be inspired to push one or two of the projects into a more commercial end result, in others you might just want to create a series of images as a set. Either way, you'll exposure to the commercial thinking side of things.

Not everyone wants to create commercial work, but its great if you want to work on projects alongside other creatives. I would suggest aiming to create a series of 3-5 images for each project. That would be amazing! By the end of November, you'll have loads of work!
