August in Review

Hello September! What's coming up?

Welcome to Art As Work. Whether you’re a working creative or cultivating a personal practice, I’m so glad you’re here. This is a space where I share Industry Insights from my work as a Design Director for Brands, and where I share my own work and process as an Artist and Illustrator. It all comes together in a mash up in this space.

Overall, August was a ‘no pressure month’, time to turn attention away from work mode and engage in things that felt good. I caught up on lots of domestic tasks that were desperate to be sorted, which felt great, spent time with the family on days out and just tried to slow down the brain, and ‘clear space’ for a new season. My energy slows down massively in the oppressive heat of the Summer, but I know it revs right up again in Autumn, so this month I’ll talk more about what’s coming, than what I’ve been up to.
