Happy Monday everyone!
Something incredible happened this weekend: my son willingly went for his midday nap in his room, after preferring a lunch of steamed broccoli over honey toast. What?!?! Who is this kid?!? Mind blown, and full of excitement that I would have time to MYSELF in the middle of the day, I skipped to the kitchen to make a huge coffee, get cake, and grab my sketchbook. It was raining heavily outside, and all the cosy Hygge Sunday vibes were strong!
I suddenly found myself feeling a bit of pressure to ‘draw something nice’, and I must ‘get the paints out’ because I actually have time to get into some wet materials. I started playing around with my watercolours, and nothing really seemed to flow. So I gave up - put away the paints, and just grabbed a pencil. I felt the need to keep things simple.
The result is random drawing of cats. Why cats? Because they entertain me, and brings lightness and fun to my sketchbook play time.
I wanted to share the results - I hope you enjoy the video!
