Over the past year, I have been taking time to re-aquaint myself with colour theory. Despite working in the creative industry for over 20 years, and working with colour every day, I realise that there were so many of the basics that I had just forgotten about when it came to getting my hands dirty with traditional mediums. My mind was blown when I started to find youtube videos, attend workshops, and get my brain back into the nuts and bolts of colour again.
I realised that if I needed reminding, then surely so do many other creatives. Whether you’re a seasoned sketchbooker and professional Designer like me, or new to your personal creative practice, it is ALWAYS a good idea to get back to basics. So that was the inspiration for this series.
