Project details, Free Lives and Member Studio Sessions

Project Food Kick off!

There are a million ways into each project. For ‘Animals’ and ‘Portraits’ I kept the options quite open, diving deep into the theme and then giving you pointers as to how you might choose to create a piece of work yourself. It was open - but also maybe a bit tooooo open?

Let’s try something different:

• We will work on the idea of SEASONAL FOOD for this project

• Each Studio Session will focus on one Season, and as we have 4 sessions, this works perfectly! Spring kicks off as our first Live Session.

• As before, you’ll get a deep dive video on the theme overall.

• Then you’ll get the brief, this time a tighter framework.

• Each Session, we will build the project together.

• I will give you ideas of how to think of the commercial project ideas as we go.

• By the end of July, you’ll have a created a set of images of fruit & veg across all the seasons, and these elements can be combined in various ways to create your project.

Simple, right?!

For those of you at Sketchbook level, this will be a fun way of building a bank of sketches and playing with style. You could explore different materials in each session.

For those of you creating a project with a commercial lens, you can create these images in your confident style and craft your project with our guidance and support.

I hope this approach will help you feel more supported in the momentum of the project, and help you get to the end of July with a feeling of accomplishment! Remember, YOU can define what that goal is - sketchbook level or Pro level!
