Watch this before we draw together to get in the spirit of a Hockney way of working
Spring is so breathtakingly beautiful, but also fleeting - and I always feel overwhelmed with trying to capture its magnificence. I am excited to use this month to give the season some real attention through my sketchbook. What better way to immerse, than to look at how Hockney, and Van Gogh, two masters of capturing the seasons, have approached this subject.
In this video I talk through my observations from Hockneys’ works, what resonates with me most and where we might take some tips and ideas for our own work.
