FREE Colour Swatch Sesh!

I’m thrilled to invite you all to come along and colour swatch with me. Inspired by the ‘co-working’ zoom trend, I wanted to have a space where we could come together for one hour to simply sit with some materials and spend time swatching.

Here’s why:

  • Colour swatching is a great way to re-acquaint yourself with forgotten materials that may be lying in the back of the drawer or shelf

  • It’s meditative and fun

  • A chance to play with new materials, or that beautiful gift set that you’ve been ‘saving’

  • Give some love to the colours you forget to reach for, and explore pairing them with unexpected colours

  • Explore swatching colour palettes in new combinations: try pairing some muted colours with bright accents, or explore a dark tones palette plus one accent, or try only nature inspired combinations.

  • A chance to share materials and colour chat with like-minded materials passionate folk!

  • A feeling of satisfaction that only playing with colour can provide

I hope the time zone is inclusive and I hope to see you there!

Sunday Colour Sessions:
Wes Anderson inspired colour palettes

When you’re struggling to find a way in to working with colour, I find it really useful to look to film and music for inspiration. Wes Anderson is masterful and very particular with his use of colour as we all know - but how can we find surprising combinations for our own work?

I’ll be demonstrating a little at the start of the session and then we will draw together.
I will probably prep a little video before the session too - I hope to see you there!
